Looking to work for a fabulous business, who have invested hugely in the growth of their HR function? Want lots of variety from your next role with coaching and development from a fantastic HR Manager? This is a brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic HR Advisor.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations issues including disciplinary hearings, attendance management and performance and capability management (low volume)
  • Absence management, working with Occupation Health (low volume)
  • Support the recruitment process through the development of job adverts, sourcing, shortlisting, scheduling interviews and supplying timely feedback to candidates
  • Ensure up-to-date job descriptions are in place for every role
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies within the PSL where external support is required and agreed
  • Oversee the on-boarding process
  • Deliver HR inductions for new starters
  • Oversee the off-boarding process, ensuring leaver documents are completed and conducting exit interviews
  • Assist the HR Manager with HR initiatives and projects such as Wellbeing
  • Provide support with Apprentice programme
  • Work with the HR Manager on Talent & Succession Planning
  • Organise attendance at recruitment and networking events
  • Support the HR Manager to facilitate the performance management cycle, including probation and appraisals and review of outcomes that will affect upon further decisions (i.e., training and reward)
  • Working with the HRM to generate HR dashboards and monthly HR reporting
  • Working with Line Managers and the L&D Team to co-ordinate training activities

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor role
  • Good understanding and application of employment legislation and best practise
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and follow up skills
  • Good attention to detail and well organised
  • Team player and ability to easily build relationships
  • Desire to make a difference and want to grow in a professional capacity
  • Good IT skills and ability to assess data
  • CIPD qualified to level 3
