Job Title: Maintenance Electricians

Location: Tunstead and Hindlow Plants, Buxton

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum - OTE with overtime / call out - £55k+

About the Role: The Recruitment Co is excited to present an opportunity for two skilled Maintenance Electricians to join a prominent chemical business at their Tunstead and Hindlow plants. This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield, and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Electrician, you will report to the Electrical Lead and be responsible for:

  • Undertaking plant maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant-associated areas.
  • Responding to plant breakdowns promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime, adhering to the maintenance plan, and complying with statutory legislation and company Safety, Health, and Environmental standards.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of plant performance, safety, maintenance, and asset reliability.
  • Supporting the in-house development of the Computer Maintenance Management System.
  • Utilizing documents and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines for safe and efficient equipment maintenance within the Electrical Engineering department.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Apprentice trained Electrician with ONC/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
  • 17th Edition - BS7671 I.E.E Regulations and Legislation as a minimum, with 18th Edition preferred.
  • Experience in TPM methodology and Continuous Improvement.
  • Working knowledge of relevant electrical and control engineering maintenance principles and practices in a heavy engineering industry.
  • Experience with Industrial Low Voltage power distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in PLCs and tools for software interrogation.
  • Knowledge of AC Drives and Motors operation.
  • Predictive Maintenance expertise.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis tools.
  • Understanding of database systems related to planned maintenance and logging shift activities.
  • Ability to design simple electrical systems, draw schematic diagrams, and perform electrical statutory tests and inspections.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics, and understanding of relevant codes and symbols.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety rules applicable to each department.
