Translational Research Partner – Health / Scientific – Contract / London / Hybrid
Out client a leading health research charity is seeking a Translational Research Partner to work with the discovery and research teams across infectious diseases, mental health and climate health in developing new research findings in to tangible outcomes for the healthcare sector.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
- Provide expert translational consultancy and practical support to the Translation Team to enable delivery of translation projects funded across Research Programmes including new and legacy projects.
- Provide support to the Head of Translation & the senior partners in the team and be responsible for ensuring due diligence, the tracking and monitoring of information supporting translation focused projects funded across the Research Programs portfolio.
- Enable the development and delivery of internal translational best practices and support management of projects within the Translation portfolio.
- Ensure internal translational best practice is adhered to across Research programs by supporting with continuous learning and professional development for teams and the development of Translation strategy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of working in academia, biotech or a pharma research or environment with a preference for working across sectors.
- Broad knowledge of science and healthcare including understanding the pathway for development of innovations, technologies, or solutions
- Awareness of intellectual property and commercialisation activities associated with translation of research into health impact.
- Project or portfolio management experience including collating and analysing different data sets.
- Strong capability in operational activities including tracking assessing and reporting of information and on progress of projects across a diverse R&D portfolio.
- Graduate in medical or life sciences discipline
