Fire Risk Validator - Remote

Join a highly regarded specialist in fire protection as a Fire Risk Assessor for low and medium-risk buildings.

The role is either full-time or part-time, and remote work is possible.

THE JOB:

  • Validate fire risk assessments for both internal and external clients.
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with assessors to implement necessary improvements.
  • Apply quality assessment frameworks and techniques to ensure all fire risk assessments are suitable, sufficient, and consistently of high quality.
  • Ensure all assessments comply with the Fire Safety Order and are certified by competent professionals.
  • Conduct site visits and physical inspections, including accessing loft spaces using ladders, to validate risk assessments.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, addressing findings with management responses and improvement plans.
  • Support the maintenance of BAFE SP205 3rd party accreditation and independent professional reviews.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Meet nationally recognized Competency Criteria for Fire Risk Assessors from the Fire Sector Federation or similar.
  • Extensive experience in conducting and validating fire risk assessments, particularly in commercial settings.
  • Strong understanding of quality assessment frameworks and techniques.
  • Capable of conducting physical inspections, including accessing loft spaces.
  • Previous experience with BAFE Accreditation SP205 and third-party accreditations.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

  • £40,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience
