Reed Accountancy are partnering with a growing lifestyle retail brand to recruit a Finance Assistant role for their small head office finance team on a fixed term contract basis for 7 months.
Accounts Assistant
- Location: Hybrid (Camden, London)
- Job Type: Full-time, 9am-6pm
We are looking for a confident self-starter with a love for numbers and a desire to grow with a vibrant team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with management of day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy.
- Maintain and update sales, purchase, and nominal/general ledgers.
- Prepare trial balances, fixed assets registers, bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Handle credit control and manage prepayments and accruals.
- Calculate management accounts and prepare VAT/GST/Sales tax returns for the UK and internationally.
- Liaise with vendors and colleagues to resolve queries promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Outstanding numerical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Highly personable with strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a self-starter attitude.
- Capable of adapting quickly and working independently.
- Excellent academic record or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
- Interest in fitness and the wellness industry is a plus.
- Experience in a start-up or fast-growing e-commerce business is beneficial.
