Automotive Technician / Lead Technician

Sea Cliff Garage is an independent family owned and operated garage based in Peacehaven that has served the local area for nearly 40 years.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and customer focused Automotive Technician who is looking to progress their career and to be part of the team to help manage and grow the business. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and dealing with all aspects of Customer engagement, whilst delivering high levels of Customer service.
  • Fully independent working and ability to run workshop / manage others.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • A methodical approach to vehicle repair and undertake full automotive services and necessary repairs:

o General servicing

o Diagnosing faults using computers

o Brake

o Clutch

o Timing belt changes / repairs

o Engine and gearbox stripping and fitting

  • Undertake and oversee all Customer billing and generation of future business.
  • Perform service write ups and completion of all documents.

Personal Qualities

  • Possess a strong self-motivated work ethic, an attention to detail, be enthusiastic, friendly and approachable.
  • Ensure workshop standards are always maintained.
  • Strong communication skills for customer service and other interface points.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous automotive repair experience is essential holding an NVQ Level 3 Qualified or Equivalent time-served within the industry.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
