You know those job ads that say "must be hands-on" - and then you get there and realise what they meant was "do the job of three people because the finance team's been hollowed out like a Halloween pumpkin"?
This isn't one of those.

Yes, they want you to be hands-on. But they've got a small team in place. Competent. Just needs pointing in the right direction occasionally and given a nudge to keep on track.
This owner-managed SME in the business services sector is based in Leeds. They're mid-sized, profitable, and growing. But like most businesses that have grown quickly, some of the finance processes haven't quite kept pace.

Which is why you're reading this ad.

They need someone who can come in, take a look under the bonnet, and tidy things up. Help steer the ship for the next 3-6 months while they firm up what the long-term finance function looks like, There is a strong potential for the role to be made permanent - but no pressure.

You'll need to be a bit of an Excel wizard (if your pivot tables have pivot tables, we want to hear from you). Xero and Sage experience would be handy too - they use both in different areas, because of course they do.
Salary? £55-65k depending on what you've done and how much you can take off their plate.

Start date? Yesterday, ideally. But next week will do.
