About the Role

Base Location: Cardiff, Reading or Perth - this is a hybrid role working a minimum two days a week from the office at one of the advertised locations.

Salary: £44,195 - £50,611 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

As the Contracts Manager responsible for managing all Metering related contracts you will lead on the pricing, service levels and relationships for new and existing contracts liaising with other functions (BE Commercial, Legal, Procurement). You will support the performance management of the contractual service level arrangements, and the smart programme and operational teams to ensure our install targets are met. Your role will include:

  • Setting out the service level agreements with contracted parties and managing and maintaining performance. Always looking to improve on existing customer and partner relationships and evolve our smart metering capability.
  • Lead the delivery of new commercial agreements (including Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement) and the development of existing commercial agreements that relate to metering services.
  • Working with the Business to support processes and functions with key dependencies on Service Providers.
  • Working closely with BE Commercial and Legal teams to progress significant contractual development, understanding how the business is performing against smart targets (in line with DESNZ and Ofgem governance) and support the business in meeting this obligation through contractual development, SLA management and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the Information Security Management System and Information Security Risk Management defined in ISO 27001

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Contract management experience.
  • Strong numeracy skills to demonstrate the commercial and monetary value of contracts.
  • Understanding of the drivers and dynamics of commercial and legal agreements within a metering services context.
  • Highly communicative at all levels with the aim of developing strong, sustainable business relationships.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks or activities.
