Daytime shifts 8am - 4.30pm

Company Overview:
Our client a leading provider of engineering solutions, offering a range of services from design to production and quality control have an exciting new opportunity for a quality inspector to join their team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented as this role is pivotal in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine quality checks on the production floor, ensuring compliance with quality standards, proper documentation, and correct handling/storage of test equipment and materials.
  • Perform daily patrols, keeping accurate records of findings.
  • Identify and manage equipment due for calibration by checking the calibration log, bringing small items to the Quality department, and coordinating with the Quality Manager for larger equipment.
  • Carry out sample inspections on work-in-progress, covering various cells frequently to maintain consistency.
  • Inspect finished products and those returning from external finishing processes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Update the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) log with relevant details from the completed CAPAs.
  • Manage fixture marking, update the fixture log, and relocate fixtures to storage as necessary.
  • Ensure spares are properly logged, serialized, and documented where applicable.
  • Perform thorough inspections of materials upon receipt and assist with packing and shipment of products.
  • Comply with all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Undertake any required training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Provide support to colleagues when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures and handling of test equipment.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive records.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
