We have an excellent opportunity for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join our client's high street traditional law firm in Birmingham. The role involves supporting the Conveyancing team in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. Based on experience, the successful candidate will provide essential support to the team and be an integral part of our client's conveyancing services. The firm is dedicated to mentoring and providing training opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist solicitors in managing residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare documentation, including drafting contracts, leases, and other legal correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
  • Carry out searches and investigations, ensuring all necessary checks are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain and update client files, ensuring all information is recorded accurately on the case management system.
  • Manage client communication, including answering queries, providing updates, and arranging meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and invoices related to property transactions.
  • Support solicitors in the preparation and submission of Land Registry applications.
  • Handle general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the conveyancing department.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a conveyancing role, preferably within a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake further training and professional development.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with a commitment to providing excellent service.
