About Us:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Room Leader / 3rd in Charge to join our team.

The Role:
As a Room Leader / 3rd in Charge, you will play a crucial role in managing one of our nursery rooms and supporting the overall nursery operations. This position offers a balanced mix of room-based leadership and office management responsibilities, ensuring you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on both the children's development and the nursery's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room Management: Lead and manage your designated room, creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for the children.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support room staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Provide mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate activities and learning programs in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Office Duties: Utilize allocated office time for administrative tasks, including planning, reporting, and supporting the nursery's overall management.
  • Parent Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed and involved in their child's progress and development.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within an early years setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences.
  • Flexibility: Ability to manage both room-based and administrative responsibilities effectively.
