About the Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5. You will inspire students to explore the wonders of Science, encouraging them to think critically and develop a lifelong passion for the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics that cater to diverse learning needs and spark curiosity.
  • Promote a Love for Science: Use innovative teaching methods to inspire a love of Science and help students achieve their full potential.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum, incorporating exciting and relevant content.
  • Supportive Environment: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and motivated.
  • Exam Preparation: Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Science and a commitment to student success.
