Your new role
In this Credit Controller job, you will work in a supportive team and take ownership of your own clients in maintaining ongoing client relationships, in the collection of outstanding invoices. This will involve ensuring raising relevant sales invoices for services and products are raised for a wider range of business customers, and then following up for prompt payment, allocating cash to customer accounts and resolving any invoice queries, as well as highlighting any accounts of concern.
You will be expected to be confident to collect outstanding monies via telephone and agree an action plan for those overdue accounts which may result in placing the customers' accounts on hold until the balance has been cleared to release the goods.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident credit controller or a highly experienced customer service advisor who has managed business customer accounts and have the confidence in collecting outstanding debt and solving issues. You will use Excel daily to reconcile customer accounts and keep an accurate record of all communication on their internal database, as well as check cash balances on Sage. Any experience of multi-currency billing / collection would be a bonus, but is not essential.
