Southway Housing Trust is a community based housing organisation committed to providing high quality services to the people and neighbourhoods that we work in. Southway Housing Trust is a "not-for-profit" landlord, based in Didsbury, managing and improving approximately 6,000 homes in South Manchester.

At Southway Housing Trust we are inspired by our communities. We care about the people and neighbourhoods of South Manchester, are committed to constantly improving services, and work in partnership with our tenants so that we can be successful together.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Compliance team for a Technical Compliance Officer and for the right person we offer a 35-hour week, competitive salary, excellent contributory pension scheme, and 25 days holiday increasing to 30 days.

This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to join a forward thinking, progressive, Building Safety and Compliance Team. Ideally you will be a drive, self-motivated individual, with a thrust to deliver excellent data driven safety.

Preferably the successful applicant will have some experience working in either a compliance role or coming from a technical trade background and will understand the current legislation relating to some or all of the main compliance areas. It would be desirable if the successful applicant had an understanding of Building Safety.

You will need to understand the significant risks of Health and Safety non-compliance and the need to have robust data management and monitoring systems, together with an eye for detail and the ability to ask questions in a non-judgmental way.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have knowledge of some or all of the compliance areas from a technical prospective, coupled with enthusiasm and a desire to deliver accurate information within agreed time scales.
