Position Overview:

As a Performance Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our public sector clients' IT systems are optimised for high performance, reliability, and scalability. You will be responsible for designing and implementing performance strategies that enhance the capacity and efficiency of various public sector applications and services. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to meaningful public sector projects from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Strategy Development: Develop and implement performance optimisation strategies for public sector IT systems, ensuring they meet high standards of reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • System Analysis: Conduct comprehensive performance analysis of existing systems, identifying bottlenecks, and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Architecture Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect solutions that enhance system performance while ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and standards.
  • Monitoring and Optimisation: Implement monitoring tools and dashboards to track system performance, proactively addressing issues before they impact service delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with public sector stakeholders to understand their requirements, providing expert guidance on performance-related matters and ensuring that solutions align with their strategic goals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of performance architecture designs, strategies, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance architecture or a related field, with a strong emphasis on public sector IT systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in performance optimisation tools, techniques, and methodologies, including load balancing, caching, and capacity planning.
  • Public Sector Knowledge: In-depth understanding of public sector operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving performance issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
