Management Accountant

hat you will be doing.....

As Management Accountant, you will work with the Senior Finance Business Partner but will also work closely with other financial and management accounting colleagues across the business.

You will prepare 5-year financial plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting and annual or ad – hoc returns. You will have the responsibility for the monitoring of income and expenditure against plans/forecasts for all account types, investigating variances and communicating these to senior managers and the Finance Business Partner

You will work closely with members of the wider finance team, to ensure compliance and liaise with the internal and external auditors as required. Acting as the day-to-day professional point of contact for advice and support on financial matters; including the ad-hoc provision of reports and costings where appropriate.

What you need to offer....

  • A CCAB recognised professional accountant qualification (part or fully qualified) - ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
  • Recent relevant experience in a large, cross functional environment, using complex accounting and reporting systems.
  • Excellent demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and to present financial information to non-specialists, both written and oral.
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project; as well as the willingness and ability to learn how to use other bespoke IT systems
  • Flexibility and a can-do attitude, and the ability to respond to a changing environment.
