Our client is a reputable multi-asset brokerage firm based in London, known for their expertise in luxury assets. They are expanding their portfolio by opening a new luxury spirit and wine retail store in the highly affluent area of Knightsbridge, London. This store will house a range of premium and rare spirits, fine wines, and liqueurs, offering an unparalleled shopping experience to customers.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Retail Concierge (Security Officer) to join their prestigious retail store in Central London. In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and secure environment for all visitors. Your presence will deter theft and ensure the safety of customers and staff. This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week for a total of 42.5 hours to include evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors.
- Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, deterring theft and ensuring the safety of customers and staff.
- Monitor the store entrance, welcoming customers and assisting them with their needs.
- Conduct regular patrols of the store to identify and address potential security risks.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Assist in the apprehension of shoplifters and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
- Work with the Store Manager and the team to implement effective security measures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience within security in a retail or hotel environment, preferably within the luxury industry.
- Possession of an SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence (not essential but must be willing to obtain expensed by company)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures is desirable.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
