Yolk Recruitment are working with a leading industrial consultancy looking for experienced OT Cyber Engineers to join their nuclear division on client site in North Somerset. As an OT Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and securing operational technology networks.
If successful you will leverage your expertise to design robust cybersecurity architectures tailored to industrial control systems (ICS), ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and compliance. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will analyze and resolve complex digital security challenges within ICS used across critical infrastructure sectors. Your role will also involve assessing cybersecurity frameworks at customer facilities, proposing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively.
The role is based on client site in North Somerset & they require candidates to be eligible for SC security clearance.
This is what you will be doing:
- Design and secure operational technology networks across diverse industries, ensuring compliance with stringent cybersecurity standards.
- Solve complex digital security challenges within Industrial Control Systems (ICS) used in critical infrastructure.
- Assess cybersecurity architectures, technologies, and procedures at customer facilities to enhance overall security posture.
- Develop comprehensive technical solutions to mitigate critical security risks, including antivirus software, encryption modules, and incident response plans.
The experience you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, coupled with 1-2 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies, focusing on industrial control systems (ICS) such as SCADA, PLCs, and RTUs.
- Proficiency in securing systems using ICS-related communication protocols like MODBUS, OPC, and DNP3.
- Strong familiarity with technical security frameworks such as NIST 800-53/800-82, ISO 27001, and industry-specific standards.
