What's in it for you?

You'll be joining a rapidly growing organisation with a 'people-first' culture, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, playing an integral role within the finance department.

The business is well known for nurturing and promoting staff - we know this can seem to good to be true, but we have worked with this company for a long time and helped them to build their team, so we know this is the case.

There is huge potential to progress and work your way up, as well as access to further training and qualifications.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the key function of this role is to analyse financial information and implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance and support other companies within the Group when required.

You will take overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports, as well as presenting to senior managers to give insights into the business performance.

Conducting relevant cost analysis and providing suggestions for future cost-reduction initiatives is also a vital part of this role, challenging the norms of the business and driving it forward, along with maintaining financial policies and management information systems.

You will be required to prepare timely management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, weekly cash flow forecasts and budgets, as well as taking responsibility for commercial reporting and margin analysis.

You'll also take responsibility for continually looking to improve all financial and non-financial processes, and analysing company data and financial information in order to provide insight to all stakeholders.

Additionally, you will mentor and support members of the finance team, and take on any ad-hoc tasks or projects as requested by key stakeholders.

About you...

You will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or perhaps you are currently studying and nearing final stages.

You are self-driven, enthusiastic and motivated to achieve, and are committed to personal and professional development.

You are commercially minded, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you are able to pay attention to detail in order to identify errors and improve weaknesses.

You will have solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles, regulations and legislation, and will have experience of best practice and financial reporting.

You have advanced Excel skills and are focused on delivering results. Perhaps you also have experience with Sage 50, however, this is not essential.

If you have construction industry experience including CIS that would be an advantage, but is not essential.
