An exciting full-time opportunity has arisen to join an expansive property and lettings company based in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. We are looking for a Rent Officer to help the assistance of rent collection across a large portfolio of Liverpool properties. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role within the property sector.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Monitor accounts and identify late and missing payments.
  • Pursue late and missing payments and issue reminders by e-mail, letter and telephone in respect of the above to ensure that accounts are brought up to date and escalate for further action where necessary.
  • Identify under/over payments and notify tenants and pursue any shortfalls to ensure account brought up to date where necessary.
  • Prepare rent schedules and reconcile accounts using Excel and our in-in house property management system.
  • Deal with tenants queries regarding their rent accounts on the phone and by e-mail and letter as applicable and record on our property management system.
  • Run routine and adhoc reports and post daily rent charges onto our property management system.
  • Provide debt management support.

What we need from you:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a property management environment.
  • Credit control experience (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, establishing rapport and demonstrating the
  • ability to manage complex issues in a calm and professional manner
  • Strong IT and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and planning skills.
  • Professional conduct and attitude to enhance the company's reputation.
