KS1 Teacher SEMH - Bromley

Job Description:

As a KS1 SEMH Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with our very vulnerable pupils, including those who suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, EBD, and SEMH. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a classroom of students with their own unique challenges and strengths
  • Developing and implementing individualized support plans to address the specific needs of each student.
  • managing behaviour and using de-escalation techniques.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviour.
  • Offering emotional support and guidance to students as they navigate their academic and personal challenges.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • ECT, PGCE or QTS Ideal - however strong applications for Unqualified Teacher Status welcome
  • Relevant experience working with SEMH, PTSD, Anxiety, or EBD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.
  • The ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable students.
