Job description:

Project Engineers required to join dynamic teams within the North, South and Major projects divisions. Engineer completes tasks to deliver the project including managing the quality of the product delivery via the ITP, reporting on progress to the PM and working on lookahead/sequence and technical aspects of the job with the Foreman/Supervisor. To ensure that contracts are carried out in line with company procedures, the design, drawings, and technical specification and ensuring that projects are managed safely and efficiently.

Key Tasks & Responsibility's

To support the PM on projects where multiple rigs and technical input is required. Deputise for the PM during periods of absence as the main project lead. Ensure all project records are produced, collated, and issued in accordance with the ITP / Quality Plan. Ensure that products are installed to the correct position / tolerance. Ensure workability / compliance checks are completed and recorded. Produce and update the sequencing, programme, look-ahead for the project with the input of the site team and brief to them. Notify the PM of any changes to scope of works, NCRs, safety, and environmental incidents. Assist with preparation of budgets, weekly cost reporting and monthly financial forecasting as required by the PM. Prepare and maintain Woodstock contract and paper site files for each project. Ensure detailed site records are maintained. Produce the necessary project specific documents including but not limited to RAMS/WPP, ITPs, Lift Plans and specific task briefs and any other documents required by the PM for the project. Organise load and integrity testing of piles, liaising with Engineering Dept as required. Assist QS with subcontract account management and with weekly cost reporting. Liaise with PM / QS to ensure any changes, variations etc. are dealt with. Ensure that all site work is carried out to high safety and environmental standards. Discuss with site team including the foreman / supervisor the project technical requirements. Keep up to date with all correspondence ensuring that we are working to the most recent drawings/design/specification etc. Setup and use the TiPS productivity monitoring platform. Prepare schedules from information taken from engineer drawings as and when required. Setup and use Z-Lyze records as and when required. Ensure that any instrumentation / measuring devices are working correctly and calibrated, printouts checked and filed. Engage with the safety and environmental performance of their project(s) and complete at least one SAF12 engagement tour per month plus at least 2 unsafe situation reports (USRs / PIs) per week. Ensure the Company's core values are embedded in all decisions made and shape your behaviour. Any other responsibility's as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications -

The role ideally requires a degree in engineering and experience in the piling /ground engineering industry. - A good understanding of both CFA and rotary bored piling and mini piling techniques and an appreciation of ground conditions.

  • Have an understanding of different conditions of contract, able to use computer software: word, excel and project.
  • Have a full driving licence, CSCS card.
