Technical Foundry Manager Required!

Our client is a leading manufacturer of metal castings, producing high quality aluminium alloy castings, gravity & aluminium die castings.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled and experience Technical Foundry Manager to lead the technical operations and drive excellence in our foundry processes. The successful candidate responsible for overseeing all aspects of the foundry operations and will have a technical & process knowledge background in the aluminium foundry industry.

Package:

  • Monday - Thursday 5:30am-3pm
  • Overtime available (Friday & Saturday)
  • Company pension
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays
  • £45,000 - £50,000 salary (DOE)

Technical Foundry Manager - Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily foundry operations, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Provide direct supervision and hands-on support to ensure smooth foundry operations.
  • Utilise technical knowledge to identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes, implement corrective actions, and maintain process control to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with the Planning Engineer and Quality teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of production plans and quality control measures.
  • Engage directly with the shop floor team, solving problems in real-time and ensuring that operational challenges are addressed promptly. This is a practical, on-the-ground management role, not a desk job.

Technical Foundry Manager - Requirements:

  • Have a strong mindset, ambition, and drive to continually push for improvements and maintain high standards in foundry operations.
  • Must have experience & in-depth knowledge of the aluminium foundry industry
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Ability to manage and instruct personnel & sub-contract toolmakers
