Engineering Maintenance Planner

Description

As the Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for maintenance planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, reporting to the Site Engineering Manager.

Main duties include:

  • To plan electrical and mechanical maintenance activities by prioritising, developing scopes of work, method statements, risk assessments and parts lists.
  • To schedule preventative and corrective work and agree the weekly schedule with production stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings to review daily/weekly work schedules and backlogs.
  • Track and monitor job costs using purchasing and maintenance software.
  • Carry out inductions, managing authorisation to work and work permits.
  • Provide good communication skills to colleagues & production personnel to develop an understanding of the machinery operation so faults can be rectified efficiently.
  • Promote the development and implementation of the Factory agility system.
  • Apply rigorous application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement throughout all areas of the Factory and support process improvement throughout the factory.
  • Apply the 5S principles to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping.

Profile

Ideally the successful candidate with have:

  • Qualified in an engineering discipline at a minimum Level 3 (ONC).
  • Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in maintenance planning for an industrial plant and equipment.
  • High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CMMs systems (Agility preferable).
  • High degree of H&S awareness, qualified in NEBOSH, with a good knowledge and experience of H&S regulations and working practices.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated

Job Offer

  • Salary of £35,000
  • Working days are from Monday to Friday, working from 7.30am to 4.00pm (we can be flexible for the but needs to be when other day engineering staff are on site i.e. 8am to 4.30pm, 40 hours each week with half an hour unpaid lunch break.
