We're looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Keyworker on an ongoing, temporary basis with temp to perm potential after a minimum of 12 weeks in Merseyside for a well-established housing association. You'll work on a three-week rolling rota which will including 1 in 3 weekends working on average 35 hours per week, and will be responsible for managing your own time and caseload of clients who are residing in refuge.
Your new role
- Providing intensive housing & tenancy frontline support to individuals who are residing in refuge and during their resettlement into independent living
- Identifying support needs via needs & risk assessments and developing targets as part of a support plan which is to be reviewed regularly.
- Providing emotional and practical support via 1:1 sessions and supporting clients to access other services within the community.
- Complete home visits and liaise with external services to ensure tenancy sustainability
- Ensure residents adhere to conditions of occupancy and carry out 1st and 2nd level warnings for any breaches.
- Attend partnership meetings including Family Action meetings, Core groups and Case Conferences where required.
- Provide information for reports such as MARAC updates
- Facilitate tenant engagement activities and encourage involvement
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working with individuals who have suffered from domestic abuse
- Experience of completing assessments and developing support plans with SMART targets
- Knowledge of legislation relating to domestic abuse & data protection, safeguarding practices and procedures
- Experience of crisis management, risk minimisation and making decisions in difficult situations
