Senior Conveyancer (Islamic Finance Specialist)

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Conveyancer to join a prestigious Legal 500 law firm based in Taunton. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who specialises in Islamic Finance within residential conveyancing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the firm's conveyancing department, delivering exceptional service to clients while focusing on transactions involving Islamic Finance principles.
Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of your caseload, which will include acting for several bank clients in purchases and refinance transactions.
- Possess and apply in-depth knowledge of conveyancing, with a strong understanding or keen interest in Islamic Finance.
- Manage conveyancing matters throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial instruction to completion, ensuring that all tasks—such as reviewing key documentation, managing completion, and resolving client due diligence issues—are carried out efficiently and accurately.
- Drive forward each transaction by understanding the specific requirements of each client and navigating the complexities of their instructions.
- Work closely with unit leaders, colleagues, and assistant-level resources to ensure the delivery of a first-class service, while meeting all quality and compliance standards.
- Liaise with a range of external stakeholders throughout the transaction process, ensuring effective communication and smooth progression of each case.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with substantial experience in residential conveyancing.
- Proven expertise in handling transactions involving Islamic Finance principles is essential.
- Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a busy workload efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
