Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Empowering Learning is currently seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in education and support students' learning and development. The position is available for an immediate start, offering a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and supporting the learning needs of students within the secondary school setting. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and contribute to the overall positive learning environment of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide targeted intervention and support to students with varying learning needs
- Lead small group activities and assist with classroom management
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning resources
- Assist with the assessment and monitoring of student progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or relevant experience working in a educational setting
- A passion for supporting the learning and development of students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
