We've just partnered with a well-established City Law Firm to hire a Business Development Manager, initially on a 12-month FTC, to work alongside the Head of Business Development and focus on real estate and other specialist practices.

This role is key to enhancing the firm's market presence and driving new business initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various departments, ensuring that marketing and business development strategies are effectively implemented. You will lead and execute business development and marketing plans, while also mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies for assigned departments
  • Lead regular business development meetings to update and gather input from partners
  • Work closely with marketing and knowledge teams to identify opportunities and enhance the firm's brand in the marketplace
  • Manage department-specific events, conferences, and thought leadership campaigns
  • Oversee the preparation of bids, pitches, and submissions for directories and awards
  • Track and report on business development activities and opportunities
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategies.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within the firm
  • Supervise and mentor a junior team member, fostering their professional development
