Position Title: Credit Controller
Location: St Albans
Salary Range: £25,000 to £29,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a dynamic and fast-paced family-run company. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar organization or a varied finance role within a small to medium-sized company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and process bank receipts in the accounting system.
  • Communication: Review and respond to emails in the Credit Control and Remittances email boxes. Provide customers with statements or invoices as requested.
  • Credit Monitoring: Review the Credit Control box on Intact, ensuring orders are held if a customer is over the credit limit or late paying.
  • Customer Portals: Manage and review sales invoices on customer portals.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve internal and external queries related to outstanding invoices.
  • System Improvement: Implement changes in the company's credit control system.
  • Departmental Support: Learn and provide cover for other roles within the Finance department, such as accounts payable.

Required Skills:

  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain calm in stressful situations.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with thorough attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Preferred Experience: Previous experience with Intact or Sage is preferred but not required.

Job Specifics & Benefits:

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 17:00pm (No weekends or Bank Holidays)
