Role: Interim Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Blackburn, BB1 2FA – Office Based

Hours: Mon-Fri 9-5pm (40 Hours)

Salary: £12.05 p/hr

We are currently searching for an Interim Accounts Receivable Specialist to join the Transactional Finance team at one of our largest FMCG clients!

As an AR Specialist, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth end-to-end sales process for the organisation. You will be required to generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner whilst also ensuring billing is in compliance with company policies and customer agreements. You will also be expected to reconcile any discrepancies and resolve payment issues with customers. The perfect candidate will be an adaptable, ambitious and detail-orientated professional eager to further develop their skills within Accounts Receivable for a well-known organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the entire cash process, promptly investigating and addressing any discrepancies
  • Import daily cash processing reports onto the SAP system
  • Communicate and correctly document any discrepancies and forgery incidents
  • Post debtors' invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate allocation of cash receipts to customer accounts
  • Reconcile monthly cash and card General Ledgers, including writing off within specified thresholds and investigating discrepancies beyond those thresholds
  • Monitor, escalate, and resolve missing sales, ensuring timely resolution
  • Upload fuel and shop sales data, diligently investigating any variances
  • Escalate any identified issues in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and conduct reconciliations for sales data
  • Undertake general administration tasks and fulfil other ad-hoc responsibilities as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
