I am currently working with a large Primary School in Widnes to recruit a long-term administrator for a temporary role whilst the school are recruiting permanently.
The role will be initially for 2- 3 months, but it could be extended longer.
The role is working 8.30 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.00pm on Friday. The role is term time only.
Your new company
You will be working in a large primary school in Widnes town centre, joining an experienced leadership and teaching team. Working alongside the school business manager and finance officer, you will support with the daily running of the school by providing admin support in the school office and covering reception. You will be the first point of contact for any visitor contacting the school over the phone or in person.
Your new role
As an administrator working in a school, you will work closely with the school leadership team and school business manager to support with the daily running of the school by providing administration support. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for updating SIMs with pupils' information and attendance, meeting and greeting visitors to school and answering general enquiries both in person and over the phone. You will also be responsible for updating the school website, liaising with parents and carers, PO numbers and other administration duties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have previous experience working in a school and ideally used SIMs or a similar school-based system to record pupil information and attendance. You will need to have previous experience working as an administrator and basic finance experience (PO numbers and invoices). The role is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS disclosure.
