Cedar are supporting a Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, client who are looking for a Head of Procurement. This is a permanent role offering a salary of £68,802 plus a range of benefits which include a Local Government Pension and 34 days Annual Leave (plus Bank Holidays). This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to be on-site 3 days per week in Uxbridge with the remainder working rom home.
The successful candidate will work in a team of 8, with 5 direct reports, to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of procurement activities and support the organisation by streamlining processes. This role involves coordinating teams to meet procurement deadlines, organise procurement programs with pre-tender and post-award activities, and collaborate to ensure effective development and delivery.
Candidates applying MUST HAVE the following experience:
- Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace
- Strong understanding of running compliant Procurements in line with PCR2015 and an awareness of the upcoming changes
- Strong background working on requirements relating to Constructions Goods and/or Services
- Line Management experience is required
- Experience creating and/or using Frameworks would be advantageous
- Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS qualification would be advantageous
