We are now seeking a General Labourer to carry out a variety of labouring duties to assist trades and affect routine works/repairs & maintenance and installations.
You'll assist other tradesman in carrying out repairs and maintenance (this may involve working at heights). Mixing and assisting general builders, groundworkers and plasterers, you'll perform Damp & Mould washes in our customers homes and complete minor repairs and maintenance within your current skillset.
Keeping storage areas clean and tidy, you'll undertake clearance of waste from customers homes, communal areas and gardens (occupied and unoccupied) and cut back overgrown areas so works can be carried out with the use of petrol machinery. You'll deliver equipment and materials to the property care team and customers homes.
You'll have the desire to learn new skills and undertake training to develop within GCH and have the ability to manage your own workload. You'll be able to work within a limited degree of supervision/guidance whilst being accountable for individual results and be able to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies.
We'd like you to...
- Have general labourer experience or a similar role that has transferrable skills.
- Have experienced in the use of IT equipment.
- Have experience of driving commercial vehicles and using petrol equipment.
- Have experience working in Customers Homes
- A repairs/maintenance qualification and a Health and Safety qualification are advantageous but not essential.
It is essential to have a UK driving license for this role.
