We are excited to welcome a motivated Geography Teacher to our team in Blackburn, where you'll have the opportunity to engage and support KS3 and KS4 students. The daily pay rate for this position ranges from £155 to £230, depending on your experience and qualifications.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans that cover physical and human geography topics, encouraging critical thinking about global issues such as climate change, sustainability, and cultural diversity. You will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and create an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all learners.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum
- Punctual and reliable
- Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
- Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
- Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
- Set homework and mark promptly
- Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
- Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
- Respond to questioning
