Accounting Technician

Our client, a leading commercial real estate company from Altrincham is looking for Accounting Technician to join their finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Director, you will be responsible for the overall bookkeeping for the Property Group across several companies. Liaising with the property management team daily, ensuring that they are aware of the current financial position of all properties.

This position is full time office based in Altrincham. The basic pay is £30,000 - £40,000 dependant on previous experience.

The role:

  • Weekly reconciliation of all bank accounts and posting credits, debits & journal transactions on Xero.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation and posting transactions on Xero.
  • Monthly and quarterly invoicing of debtors, ensuring payment is received promptly and recorded accurately on Xero.
  • Experience working on intercompany journals.
  • Weekly payment of all creditors across multiple bank accounts and ledgers.
  • Management of Service Charge accounts, providing monthly and quarterly accounts on revenue and expenditure.
  • Preparing financial reports on an ad-hoc basis for the Finance Director and the Property Management Team.
  • Undertaking clerical tasks such as filing, answering the telephone and handling mail.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Working knowledge of Xero or like-for-like financial reporting systems.
  • Advanced or intermediate-level Excel.
