Head of Finance, Birmingham, £55,000-£65,000, Hybrid

Greenwellgleeson are working with an exciting company based in Birmingham that specialises in distribution, logistics and marketing services for the digital imaging and graphics market. Reporting into the Finance Director, the business is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial and administrative functions across the company and its subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate will be very hands-on, detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially astute, with strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the management of financial and administrative functions

To be a member of the Senior Management Team, understanding the key business challenges and work with the relevant senior members to

deliver plans.

Manage UK & DE team of accounts staff, covering credit control, sales, and purchase ledger management.

Cash Management/treasury responsibility with multiple UK and non-UK bank accounts in GBP, EUR, USD, CHF, and PLN.

Stock management, working with Logistics Manager, with consideration of impact on general cashflow

Responsible for Accounts operations of our Netsuite ERP system, including postings to nominal ledger.

Timely preparation of company financial information - monthly reporting to Senior management team on group trading activities and balance sheet showing all Assets and Liabilities.

Company and Tax Reporting requirements

VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales Reporting

Preparation and monitoring of annual budgets. Advise on areas of potential cost savings.

Annual accounting and audit/reporting requirements for group businesses

Candidate Specifications

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified desirable

Be accurate, demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, and be naturally well organised.

Be highly capable in Microsoft Office and have data manipulation skills.

Hands-on and prepared to get involved in the detailed work, whilst also managing your team

Distribution or Service Sector experience desirable
