An opportunity has arisen for a part time showroom sales assistant to join an established lighting showroom in Chelsea. The company design and manufacture very high-end, luxurious decorative lighting for interior designers, architects and retail clients.
This opportunity is available on a part time basis, 3 days per week.
Duties involve:
- Ability to actively sell from the showroom floor and to provide technical as well as aesthetic guidance to a mixture of trade and private clients on the showroom floor
- Acquire an in-depth knowledge of the product line in order to be able to answer client's questions and queries in person, on the phone and on email.
- Proven ability to multitask with first class verbal and written skills. Delivering accurate information to customers in a timely manner is essential.
- Dealing with all sales enquiries from UK and overseas via email and on the phone
- Processing orders - from point of sale through to dispatch for all UK, overseas and web orders.
- Maintaining customer records, liaising with production to ensure deadlines are met and managing client expectations with regular order updates and information.
- Raising quotations, maintaining contacts and following up on quotations.
- Setting up and maintaining customer accounts both trade and retail.
- Providing outstanding customer service and after sales care on all orders and enquiries.
- Visual Merchandising of products (with guidance) as and when required
- Supporting Head Office staff as and when required.
- Opening/Closing of showroom.
Knowledge of lighting products would be beneficial but is not essential as lots of ongoing training will be provided. However, experience of selling a luxury interiors product is required.
Candidates will need excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook. Sage 50 would be beneficial but not essential.
An ability to be able to absorb technical information is very much required.
This is a great part time role that suits someone who is unable to work full time hours. You will work within a friendly showroom team and get to work on some amazing interior design projects. 9am - 5.30pm. Please note that although this is a part time role it is a permanent opportunity and we are looking for someone that can offer ongoing, permanent commitment.
