Purchase Ledger Clerk | Shrewsbury | Permanent | £25,000 - £27,000pa.
Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for an opportunity with a well-established, friendly organisation?
We are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for an experienced purchase
ledger clerk to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the ledger. Reporting
to the Assistant Accountant you will be a key member of the finance team and your main duties
will include:
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes onto the system in a timely manner. using the appropriate program to ensure complete and accurate supplier records are retained on the ERP system.
- Maintain complete and accurate supplier records ensuring compliance checks are carried out as necessary.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers using BACS and some cheque payments.
- Scan, attach to records and file all documents in an accurate and timely manner to enable fast and easy retrieval.
- Assist with queries from suppliers and colleagues.
- Assist with any ad hoc tasks as required.
About you:
- At least 2 years' experience of maintaining a Purchase Ledger.
- Professional and organised.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good excel skills.
