Director of People - The Oversight Board

Are you a visionary senior HR leader with a passion for creating exceptional employee experiences? Our client, the Oversight Board, is seeking a Director of People to join their team. As a strategic business partner and subject matter expert, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies that enhance employee engagement within our client's organisation. Contract Details

Permanent position, full time

Location: London or East Coast/DC

Salary: circa £155K or circa $255K depending on location

The Oversight Board's mission is to improve how Meta treats people and communities around the world. As a Director of People, you will be instrumental in achieving this mission by developing and governing the People Team's strategy across all Oversight Board locations. Working closely with the Executive Team and other key stakeholders, you will refine and develop structures, policies, processes, and programmes that align with our client's strategic vision.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide subject matter expertise, translating business objectives into people solutions. You will lead by example, supporting high-performing teams and fostering a strong employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on all aspects of HR, including policies, procedures, and risk areas.
  • Execute the Executive Team's vision for a workplace culture that values employee well-being and development.
  • Develop and refine recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent aligned with company values.
  • Utilise HRMI collection tools to make evidence-based decisions, interpret data, and measure HR initiatives' effectiveness.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the HR team, fostering teamwork and cooperation across departments.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of strategically developing HR teams and implementing HR strategies preferably in a regulated environment.
  • Extensive HR experience at an executive level, working across a global scale with expertise in UK, EU, and US employment law.
  • Excellent leadership skills, managing stakeholders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
  • Extensive project management experience with cross-functional teams and multiple external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and develop influential relationships with stakeholders.
  • A successful track record in driving process improvements and enhancing employee experiences.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into operational plans and business goals into a people strategy.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
