Finance Manager

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager for a 9-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave within a reputable manufacturing company located on the outskirts of Deal. This role is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to lead our finance team and oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate must be able to start within the next 3 weeks.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee daily operations of the finance department and manage the finance team.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organisation are met including Charitable Status, Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Employer Health Tax.
- Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting.
- Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
- Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software.
- Ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
