Personal Assistant/House Manager for Private Family, London & Oxfordshire, circa £60k gpa depending on experience

Please note that you will need to have your own vehicle to use in London on a daily basis for this position.

We are seeking a highly organised Personal Assistant/House Manager to join a busy VIP family based between London and Oxfordshire. This role focuses on managing all personal and household-related tasks; liaising with household teams, dealing with contractors & organising personal schedules and logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a private setting and a positive, upbeat approach, willing to muck in where needed and keep projects moving forwards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all household operations and renovations, ensuring projects run smoothly.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring quality and timelines are met.
  • Oversee the management of various properties located in Oxfordshire & London.
  • Handle household and family bill payments in coordination with the accounts team.
  • Personal diary management including scheduling and appointments.
  • Occasional assistance with Principal's business e.g. photo shoots and sourcing items
  • Liaising with business EAs and wider teams
  • Manage household staff across two locations (London and Oxfordshire).
  • Travel between London (4 days/week) and Oxfordshire (1 day/week).
  • Ensure the well-being of household pets and potentially assist with dog sitting.

Requirements:

  • Own vehicle that can be used in London on a daily basis.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to drive between London and Oxford.
  • Proven experience working in a private household.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ideally some experience property management
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage schedules and contractors effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Must be dog-friendly and comfortable around various pets.
  • Must possess a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel and being on hand to support family needs.
  • Confident and able to command authority when needed eg. dealing with contractors
  • Professional demeanour, able to maintain appropriate boundaries while being approachable.

Location: Notting Hill and Oxfordshire Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Note: This role is not suitable for those seeking remote work. It requires hands-on management, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel between London and Oxford.
