Job Title: Data Analyst/Data Engineer

An exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the Data & Analytics of a growing advertising solutions business. As a Data Analyst/Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end analytics process, including data cleaning, analysis, and establishing best practices for the business moving forward. You will be a sole contributor, expected to tackle the "dirty work" independently.

You will be coming into this role as a sole contributor and expected to be very hands on with the implementation of ETL processes, best practices, and data analysis/visualisation - With data that is held in different sources and formats, this is a brilliant challange for a data expert.

As a Data Analyst/Data Engineer, You Will:

  • Lead End-to-End Analytics: Manage the entire analytics process from data cleaning to analysis, delivering insights for different departments across the business.
  • Prioritise and Own Projects: Develop and maintain a roadmap of analytics projects, ensuring each one delivers significant value.
  • Create Data Visualisations: Develop datasets, dashboards, and compelling visualizations to clearly communicate insights about digital content engagement.
  • Optimise Content Discoverability: Make recommendations to improve content discoverability, using data insights to put the customer at the heart of our strategies.
  • Enhance User Experience: Utilise digital engagement, customer, and product data to optimize user experience on apps and sites, understanding customer journeys and leading experimentation.
  • Identify Operational Efficiencies: Highlight new opportunities to use data to improve operations and support data-driven editorial decisions.
  • Collaborate with Technology Teams: Ensure proper tagging, tracking, ingestion, and surfacing of data for reporting and analytics.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in Analytics: Proven experience in managing the end-to-end analytics process, from data cleaning to delivering insights.
  • ETL Implementation: Ability to implement end-to-end ETL processes to clean and implement data from multiple data sources within a disorganised data state.
  • Effective Communication: Proactive and clear communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Leadership Qualities: Someone who can go back to basics and lead the data journey for the business as a sole contributor.
  • Curiosity and Creativity: A strong desire to learn and creatively interrogate data, effectively managing time to meet deadlines.

Technical Skills:

  • SQL Proficiency: Confident in using SQL to manipulate and process large data sets for concise reporting and analysis.
  • ETL Processesing and data warehousing: Knowledgeable in the implementation of ETL processesing and data warehousing.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Skilled in visualizing data in meaningful ways using tools like Tableau and PowerBi.
  • Effective Presentation: Capable of presenting detailed analysis to non-technical stakeholders

Travel Requirments: Overnight Travel 1 to 2 times a month is required, this is fully expensed and non-negotiable
