Description

  • Lead procurement activities and projects for the Estates department.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure value-for-money outcomes.
  • Engage and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring sustainability and quality of services.
  • Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance and improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
  • Adhere to procurement policies and regulations within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement and supply chain strategies.

Profile

A successful 'Category Manager - Estates' should have:

  • Significant experience of working in a senior procurement role.
  • Experience of procuring strategic goods, services, and works, including significant experience of the estates/construction category.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage procurement projects.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
  • The capacity to develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Good understanding of contract management and supplier agreements.
