Early Years Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, B31 | £85 - £100 per day | September 2024
Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a background in SEND? Our partner Primary school located in the heart of Northfield is looking for a teaching assistant to join their Early Years provision on a full-time basis from September. The school would like you to join them for the full academic year, and for the right candidate this can become a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs.
- Plan engaging learning activities and adjust them to suit pupils' needs as appropriate.
- Deliver interventions for groups of learners, such as phonics and reading, in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Foster relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Assist students with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Work with individuals or small groups of pupils inside and outside the classroom.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree
- Experience working with children in the Early Years, or nursery environment
- An understanding of the EYFS Framework
- Experience supporting students with special educational needs
