An Exciting Opportunity has just become available for an English Teacher to work in a Good School located in Newport Telford!

Position: Teacher of English

Start Date: September 2024

Duration: 1 to 3 Terms

Salary: £170 - £220 per day

Dunbar Education is proudly recruiting on behalf of a vibrant Secondary School in Newport Telford, just outside the West Midlands. We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team, starting in September 2024. This position is for at least one term with the potential for it to run across the full academic year. The school have said that this could be made permanent if performance is good and a vacancy arises.

As an English-trained Secondary Teacher you will primarily focus on Key Stage 3 and 4, guiding students through the wonders of literature and language. Your enthusiasm for the subject will inspire students to excel academically and develop a lifelong appreciation for English.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons for students in KS3 and KS4· Create and implement effective assessment strategies to track and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with other members of the English department to develop and refine the English curriculum
  • Provide support and guidance to students in their academic and personal growth
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events as needed

About You:

  • Must have UK QTS/be working towards (Or another recognised teaching qualification)
  • Degree Level Qualification
  • Able to teach English at KS3 & KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
  • Have good Behaviour Management Skills
  • Experience teaching in a UK Classroom
