Senior Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner

We are currently recruiting for a boutique financial planning practice in Poole who are looking to recruit a Senior Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner.

The ideal candidate will have:

  •  Working towards relevant financial planning qualification
  •  A good understanding of the financial planning processes
  •  Able to work within defined business processes
  •  Some report writing ability and experience
  •  Ability to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision
  •  Confident customer communications
  •  Good all round financial services experience - ideally gained with an IFA
  •  IT aptitude
  •  Flexibility and tenacity
  •  Understanding of general compliance and FCA requirements

The role offers excellent scope and shall include:

Preparing and maintaining client files.
You will carry out research for client meetings, including:
- drafting meeting checklist summary
- collating meeting packs, including disclosure docs and applications
- updating valuation schedules
- producing appropriate performance graphs (Financial Analytics)
- producing associated Fund Fact Sheets
- updating client Income in Retirement Timelines using CashCalc

  •  Discuss client objectives with Practice Principle
  •  Ensuring all compliance, risk profile and product provider paperwork is present
  •  Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial planning options
  •  Present completed file to Practice Principle

Briefing
- attend post meeting debriefs, taking detailed & salient notes
- update feedback to IO system
- replay notes onto letter / email post meeting summary to client(s)
- set and maintain accurate task/ workflows

Preparing & Implementing recommendations:

  •  Identify areas for planning
  •  Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients needs
  •  Prepare information/comparisons for analysis
  •  Liaise with client's legal and tax advisers (if applicable)
  •  Make changes to clients' investments as instructed & Prepare suitability letters for:- fund switches, Bed& ISA's, withdrawals, investment top ups
  •  Complete application forms and proposals
  •  Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order
  •  Submit file for compliance checking and address any issues raised
  •  Submit paperwork to provider(s) to ensure agreed investment strategy is implemented promptly and correctly

Service

  • Act as main technical point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication
  • Establish and build strong relationships with clients
  • Organise future planning meetings with client
  • Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile etc
