Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work within the Cash Settlements Team, responsible for all aspects of settlement for Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Credit, Interest Rate, and Equity OTC derivatives trades post-booking. The position requires daily interaction with various broker clients globally as well as internal sales and trading desks, other Operations groups, and technology teams. What you'll do:

As an Operations Analyst, your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within the Cash Settlements Team. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised in daily interactions with clients globally, agreeing on upcoming cash flows. You will be tasked with investigating and resolving client fails through various means, including liaising with trading desks, sales desks and middle office groups. Your keen eye for detail will aid in the reconciliation and analysis of aged breaks. You will also manage relationships with clients and Business Units while responding promptly to their queries. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be crucial in working with Operational management, sales, and trading desks to diminish risk through escalation and strong communication. As a process owner, you will take accountability for all outstanding items while continuously striving to develop and improve existing processes and reporting. Working as part of the global settlements team, you will assist with development, testing & implementation of internal system changes.

  • Communicate daily with clients to agree on upcoming cash flows

  • Reconcile and analyse aged breaks
  • Manage relationships with clients and Business Units
  • Respond to client queries relating to position breaks, corporate action bookings and reporting
  • Collaborate with Operational management, sales, and trading desks to diminish risk through escalation and strong communication
  • Act as a process owner being accountable for all outstanding items
  • Develop and improve existing processes and reporting
  • Work as part of the global settlements team assisting with development, testing & implementation of internal system changes

What you bring:

As an Operations Analyst, you will bring a strong analytical mindset coupled with excellent organisational abilities. Your proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment will be key to your success in this role. Your proactive self-motivation and ability to maintain and build excellent client relationships will be highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with a good appreciation of risk - both operationally and franchise-wise. Your strong problem-solving skills coupled with effective follow-up abilities will enable you to identify problems as they arise and understand when these need to be escalated.
