Jonathan Lee Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for 2 Materials Controllers with purchasing and MRP system experience to join a leading manufacturing business in Telford. We're helping to recruit 2 Materials Controller on a permanent full time basis, and the role comes with an excellent salary up to £27,500 per annum and benefits package.
As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting any risks to supply and manage the delivery schedule of FCLs, ensuring no detention or demurrage occurs while passing freight-related invoices for FCLs and liaising with 3PLs.
As a Material Controller, daily duties will include the following:
- Release Purchase Orders and expediting component orders, maintaining delivery dates to the MRP schedule to support manufacturing and After Sales
- Raise manually generated orders to provide components outside of MRP control
- Monitor the delivery performance of selected vendors, agree and implement improvements in supplier delivery adherence
- Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss and agree on targets and actions in line with the above responsibilities

- Previous experience within a similar role
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in grades A to C to include English Language and Maths
- Previous MRP system experience
