Hays are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Exeter. As an Assistant QS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial team and contributing to the successful delivery of residential development projects.
Some of your responsibilities might include:
- Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.
- Collaborate with senior surveyors to ensure accurate measurement and valuation of works.
- Monitor project progress, variations, and subcontractor payments.
- Contribute to contract administration and procurement processes.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Full driving licence (car allowance provided).
