SEND Teaching Assistant
A well established Secondary School based in Bury St Edmunds are looking to recruit a number of SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team as part of their SEND Unit which opened recently.
SEND Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and motivated individual who is looking to make a difference as a Teaching Assistant. The successful candidates will have a passion for education and ideally be looking to go on to complete their teaching qualifications. Experience of working alongside students with a variety of SEND needs is essential. As an SEND Teaching Assistant you will be joining a strong and supportive student support department. You will be required to work closely supporting students with varying SEND, so being adaptable is very important.
Your role will be to provide support to students with additional needs, 1:1 tuition or to small groups of students with varying abilities. You will be encouraging and supporting individual pupils to reach their full potential whilst demonstrating a creative and determined attitude that will help motivate students. You will be directly supporting the students, as well as helping to organise the teaching and learning resources available to students and staff.
The school are looking to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants who are able to commit to a full time position
The right applicant for this SEND Teaching Assistant position will:
- Have experience of working as a teaching assistant (desired)
- Have an interest in the education sector
- SEND experience (Desired)
- Ability to engage with and inspire young learners.
